Starting Sept 14 thru Nov 16, every Tuesday, Jeanne is teaching an introduction to oil painting class. The classes will be held at the Cypress Creek Christian Church Annex Bldg Room 23. There will be one make up class on Nov 23rd. The cost is $100 for the 10 week session. Make you checks payable to CCCC-Art Ministry. The lessons may be paid in full the first day or in 3 payments due on the first class of each month.

My teaching is fairly academic as that is the back ground I come from and feel the great importance of a good foundation in the basics. I teach a mixture of Studio with a little Plein Air thrown in and try to emphasize the importance of painting from life. I teach on Wed. from 1 to 4 PM . We have a Yoga class in the morning on Wed. from 10:30 AM to 12 noon break for an hour lunch and then start my 3 hour oil painting class. My classes are $25 per session and the Yoga class, which is taught by Stephanie Cole from the Yoga Institute, is $15 per session. I also teach on Thur from 11AM to 2PM for the same $25 fee and that one is a bring your own lunch class.

Learn the basics of oil painting in an "alla Prima" fashion, working "wet-in-wet" in a loose, painterly style. This class is for beginner through intermediate students. Students will paint still life subjects from life, portraits and landscape instruction will also be included per students' requests.
